Y5 Mosque Visit 3.2.25 and 6.2.25

On Monday 3rd and Thursday 5th February, Year 5 had a fantastic opportunity to visit a local mosque as part of their learning about different religions and communities.

The children discovered why Muslims visit the mosque, gaining an understanding of its importance as a place of worship and community gathering. They explored the beautiful features of the mosque, including the prayer hall, mihrab, and minaret, and learnt about the significance of each.

A key message from the visit was the importance of kindness and respect for one another, as well as the role everyone plays in looking after their community. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and left with a deeper appreciation of different cultures and beliefs.
